why are the IMDb average ratings for shows like The Simpsons and House M.D. "awaiting 5 votes"????

Shows like The Office and 24 do have ratings shown, though.

Maybe a glitch on the site. It doesn't seem likely that these shows don't have a least 5 votes. I tried voting, but there was no change.

Ratings don't show up until 5 people have voted, so that they can get an average from it.
