I've tried to find good sites,and printed out the documents,but can somebody simply define the similarities?I see more differences than similarities...Thank you so much!!

Similarities? What they have in common is that they were both penned (essentially) by the same person -- Thomas Jefferson. The Declaration Of Independence was a letter to the King of England giving him due notice that those in the colonies were no longer going to answer to him, nor were they going to pay taxes or homage to him.
The Constitution, was penned by Madison -- with the aid of upwards of 34 others at various times. The final product (as we know it) was not necessarily what was initially presented. Jefferson wrote portions of the Bill of Rights. In it, he made point to spell out what the rights of the people are. Throughout the Constitution, if you study it closely, you will find it is full of intended contradictions -- allowing for various interpretations.
