Hello.. well for that thing, you just press the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard and then open Microsoft Paint and press - Ctrl and V ( or click Edit, then paste). then just save the image.. but if you need to take a snapshot while running a video then this method won't work.

OK, maybe a few of us are confused - ?? if you just want to take a picture of EXACTLY what you are looking at on the screen, all you have to do is press "print screen", then open a new email; press "control V"; then enter - go back to the email and either save or send....is this to send a picture of what you are looking at to a co-worker that doesn't get it??? please enlighten all of us nosy people :) best to ya and happy holidays, andra

Press the PRNT SCRN button on your keyboard. Should be in the top row (depending laptop/desktop keyboard). Then paste it in either a WORD document, Email, MS Paint, or anywhere you can copy and paste pictures.
If you only want the print screen of the current window and not the whole screen.......select the window, press ALT+PRNT SCRN and paste.

Make sure your cursor is somewhere on the screen and doesn't interfere with the image. click the "print scr" button on your key board. Then go to a graphics program and right click your mouse then click on Paste. You should have an image of your screen.

On the bottom left hand corner there will be a button that says FN, which is short for function.
and on the upper right hand corner it will say "INSERT" and beneath it "print screen".
Press FN and then INSERT and hold them down at the same time.
say if you would like to paste it onto a power point , you would go to that program and right click on one of the slides and press "paste" and then the screen will appear..mystically. (:
