Who are we going to replace them with....the other choices that the elitist give us to choose from?

Why don't people admit that we DON'T have a choice?

How many times have you for FOR someone...only because he WASN'T the other guy?

We don't have a choice...look at the families that are running our country and how long they have been there.

So get off your butts and run for office yourselves. There is no "us" and "them," we are all Americans. Or find someone you think is qualified and willing to run and start campaigning for him or her. Only some people like to be armchair quarterbacks. Put up or shut up.

Actually it's $ that runs the country and chooses those who can run or not. Very seldom does someone run who represents my choices exactly and that I trust to do what they say. So I always choose between the candidates and what they represent. If you don't vote, you have NO choice at all. Pork fat has become a way of getting things done and it's just a waste of our country's assets but that's nothing new either. And how can a long time senator be pretty much involved in a drowning scandal and have people still vote for him and then want to impeach a president for screwing around. Screwing around is a national passtime but murder. . .or mimimumly leaving the scene of an accident without rendering any type of aid surely suggests a weakness of character and that person should have been put in jail, not congress. And yet we vote for them. . .
And the biggest pile of it all was the cr*p they have put out about the death of JFK. Talk about a cover up and feeding the public a bunch of stuff and it's still going on. . .and the people just say oh yea shot from the window. . .I sat there and watched the bullet strike the head of the president, splatter his brains all over the policeman that was to the back and far side of the car. That shot came from the front. Duh! But the next morning they had this bullet that moved all around and through people and from the back. Ridiculous-what they tell the general public and we just say OK. . .

Yes, it has become the lesser of two evils.

Until Americans take control where there is control. At the party level, this will remain the status quo.

There are only a few things that will help.

1. Unity in telling our Congress that we will continue to vote them out EVERY election until we see term limits for Congress.
2. Same unity telling Congress that lobbiests are a thing of the past.
3. Get involved at the party level and have enough regular citizens there to put forth a candidate that is for America, and not only for themselves.

I know this sounds like a dream, and it is only because the voters will never be that united.

Nick...Ron Paul is not an answer. He is better than any democrat, but his foreign policy would have us invaded within a year. Sorry, the guy is WAY too soft on national security.

The answer is that the arrogant unresponsive elitists rulers seem downright contemptuous of the common man. We have fallen asleep like Rip Van Winkle and let them continue this terrible series of mistakes - from immigration to iraq outrageous waste of the hard-earned public treasurary. They have spent all the money and have put us in deep debt. They have put us in great jeapordy. That is tantamount to treason.

The ones that were honored with hight public office have not only failed us, they have betrayed our trust. They have rewarded their friends in mortgage banking, those who require cheap illegal labor to make a profit, and on and on. Damn their eyes! Cannot write about this anymore tonight. So damn mad at they arrogrant, strutting senators and congressman and president. They really must hate the working man. But the have gambled we cannot fire them. My God, let's take them out. Semper Fi!

Tis is exactly what has happened in Australia four weeks ago, we voted the Government out of Office, soley for the sake of change! 12 years is a long time for one Government to hold Office, but untill now there was no viable alternative, untill the opposition decided to "cloan" the Governmet, thus providing a viable, younger, fresh face for change!

This is sadly all too true. The US is run by wealthy elitists, and it seems that no good candidate ever runs for office. All the good guys seem to be in business or on wall street. Just look at the presidential race now! All but two or three of the dudes is a wealthy, corporate-funded politician who cares more for their political careers than the voice of the people. We are supposed to elect politicians to represent us in Congress, yet lately we seem to be voting people in so they can represent themselves. C'mon America! Wake up and see that you are slowly being taken over by the government, and that soon all you hold dear will belong to Washington!

This can be fixed, though, and the solutions name is Ron Paul.

If you really had had enough, you would become more vocal and make a difference....I don't think you, and most Americans, have had enough so you will just keep taking what they give you and will vote for the 'most popular' until you actually stir up the pot.....I am.

Do you keep bad apples in the basket at home? Or do you throw them out? Are we all sleepy tonight or what? No more Bush's or Clinton's. Aren't you tired of the status quo and the stealing and death that these families have created while playing with our lives? I am.

Impeachment should be taken more seriously, and presidents should be removed and jailed for life, starting with Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

Hello.. it is common for the candidates to give promisses this will be done and that will be done. when he voted for power, no finding fault on him, he may have tried to get, but there are more difficulties to achive promises..in fact there are elected govt policies.. if he is one among the ruling.. he can do to some extent and if he is in opposition.. he will shout and try to get.. see all promises given cannot be achieved..difficult too.
