Amen!!!! This drives me absouletly batty about my s-i-l. Every year she has to give me a detailed list of everything she wants, my niece and nephew and my brother.
It makes me soooo mad because Christmas is about giving not receiving.....so this year, I disregarded her lists completely and donated $100 to the Food Bank in their name......
She is gonna be soooo pi&&ed off at me........hehe.....this is what I loathe in self-proclaimed *Christians*....

I've made list before because they've asked me and I wanted to let them have alot of options so that they're not stressed if they can't get this ONE thing, or that ONE thing for me(though I tell them I prefer nothing, they still have to get me something...) I even put on my list "nothing too expensive" and stuff... I just don't want them worrying about what to get me and everything....
Maybe people who have lots of people to shop for need lists so they don't get confused or forget people??
I haven't made a list this year thoug(it was kind of a tradition to me) but this Christmas isn't really feeling much like one.. I guess with my parents divorcing and my fiance being out on business matters....heck, we haven't even put the tree up...

If they ask , they don't get nuthin . period .
They may expect sumthin but that is up to the giver .
I have stopped giving to so called relatives because I no longer know them .
I give to people who care for others not the greedy rich kids .

If the person tells you that they don't know what to get you...and would appreciate knowing what to get...then I don't think it's rude.

For me, it's rude NOT to tell relatives what I want. I used to get awful clothes, like velvet, or skin-tight crap that looks like it came from Old Navy. o.O"
