I looked it up in the dictionary, but it dosn't make sense to me. What does this phrase mean?

No, Elesion is not included in any of the lyrics. This is why i'm confused; its not really used independently.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra uses it in An Angel Returned to mean roughly, "peace among nations" or "understanding among nations". It's not a literal translation the way they use it more of an idea or concept. And by the way, it's a beautiful song.

It basically means God be with us God give us mercy
