He had an honorable Ph.D degree from Princeton University.

I'm pretty sure he had PHD well before he emigrated to he US.

Follow: Somebody's got her panties in a bunch. My doubt was based on recalling that Europeans did things a bit different.

He had the equivalent before he left Europe.
The answer from one 'Dr.R'(doubtless a pimpled quack from Idaho) clearly demonstrates that 'Dr.R' has not travelled and is monolingual.
I wonder if he aspires to that which he'll not acheive-a doctorate.Rena.
