Finland is using the Euro ow - but believe me, you won't find much to spend money on in Lapland! Can't remember plug sockets - I seem to recall getting one of those multi pin adaptors (the travel kind) from Boots which worked.
Forget using a camera or video in the Artic Circle - the cold can shatter the lens. Have fun - its a fab place!

Finland and Lapland has the same type of electric sockets as all European countries to my knowledge. Finland is a member of the European Union, so the currency is euro.
I´ve been to Lapland and it was quite exciting, the Northern Lights were sooo amazing, I can´t describe them, you have to see them yourself. The snow, the reindeer, the fabulous landscapes etc. are just something you have to experience yourself.
If you want to go to night clubs and have a nice evening, almost every hotel has night clubs. If you just want peace and quiet, you will get that too. I´m sure you will enjoy your stay in Lapland (I almost envy you).
Have a nice stay in Lapland! Happy Holidays!

Electric sockets are 230v and take 2 round pin plugs.
The currency is the Euro and prices are quite high but not stratospheric. Finland is a sophisticated society so ATMs are plentiful and most Traveller's Cheques accepted.
Tipping is rarely necessary.
Have a nice time in Finland! :)
