Or what do you think would be the best answer to this situation:
I have 2 small dogs (a yorkshire terrier and a pomeranian) that would have to come with me wherever I move. I go to a community college currently and am looking to transfer (likely out-of-state) and realize that most dorms do not allow dogs. I wouldn't mind living off campus, but don't know if I would be able to afford it, and I don't have friends currently interested in going to the same schools.

To answer sellatieeat's question:
I will not leave them at home, because they are my companions and my responsibility. They are a priority in my life.

If the school you transfer to has a housing office, you can find a roommate that way. I've never heard of a school which allows dogs in the dorms. If you decide to live off campus with your dogs, you could post a notice on bulletin boards while you were out there for orientation, and find yourself a roommate for an off-campus share.

I highly doubt that any college dorm will let you have dogs. Most dorms won't allow any animals at all unless its a fish.
If you can't afford to live off campus, why don't you just leave them with your parents while you're off to college?

None. stay off campus in case you're able to hold your canine. it fairly is approximately secure practices and individuals's allergies. except this is a small gerbil like animal that would slot in a case or tank like a fish, you won't be able to hold it.

You will probably have to get an off campus apartment. I have never heard of a campus allowing dogs unless it is a service dog (such as for the blind).
