I am a CNA and work in a nursing home.It can be a sad thing,,But it is only as sad as the workers let it get.I take care of 15 people and not one is unhappy. I play with my people,sing to them when I'm bathing them and I'm always making them laugh.I love them and they love me....It's really not that bad...I guess I would want to go to a nursing home,,IF I'm not too bad. If I am real bad (health wise) I would not want to be there.I would rather die.

Die no nursing home for me, and if it ever came to that for my mother, I would bring into my home and look after her for the rest of her life

I do NOT want to go to a nursing home. Most facilities let you lay in your own sh*t for hours on end. I'd rather die at home, peacefully.

I would rather live in a nursing home, adjusting my diapers, griping about my arthritis and osteo, forgetting where i left my walker, saying speak up I can't hear you and complaining about no one coming to see me. The best thing is meeting friendly new people everyday, even if they recognize you.

i would rather die. my great great grandmother lived in her home by herself until she was 93 years old. she then had a stroke and went peacefully. i have the same view as she did. she would rather be happy in her own home than unhappy in a nursing home.

If it was a decent nursing home I wouldn't mind. I'm not very independent. I would like it to have people taking care of me and planning out my day and such =)
