Remember Peter took her to the future where the virus killed most of the population, and then left her there. Then he came back to the present and destroyed the virus, thereby preventing that future.

So my question is, what happened to Caitlan? Since she wasn't in the present when Peter destroyed the virus, I think she simply ceased to exist, essentially stranded in a timeline that ceased to exist.

Yes, I wonder about this kidn of stuff when I watch shows like this.

Wait I'm sure they'll tell us on the show, since its pretty good about not leaving loose ends for any character besides which finding her was part of Peter's storyline.
My theory is that he saved the future so shes just in New York in a year, which means he can just go into a safe future and find her, or find in a year cause finding someone in New York City would impossible since she would have no address there.

I thought about this as well and I think she's living in that future where the virus still got out and can't get back to the present. I think that Peter just went to that future and I think regardless of that if he traveled to a different future with the same thing then maybe his actions in the present has affected the future and th virus hasn't killed the population. Similar to a parallel universe.

It would make sense that she was transported back to the moment when she and Peter left Canada. However, I wouldn't put it past Tim Kring to pull a huge stunt involving Caitlan.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm sure they will have it somewhere in the next chapter.
