I know this is an oft reapeated question, but I could use some suggestions on unique baby names for boys and girls. I have a daughter named Hazel Amor, and a son named Asher Isaiah. Nothing too weird like Moon Unit, but nothing common. If it is in the top 200 names it is too common by my standards. Thanks

Hazel is gorgeous (always a favorite!), and Asher is equally handsome. ;)

Perhaps some of these will appeal (less common, but familiar, classics seem a great bet here, especially with underused Hazel).

Matilda
Iris
Alice - if the repeated initials with Asher wouldn't bother you
Flora
Millicent
Gwyneth
Talulla or Tallulah (different origins/meanings)
Eleanor or simply Nora
Cora
Clara
Clementine
Beatrix
Daphne
Penelope
Viola
Cordelia or simply Delia
Ivy
Isidora/Isadora
Eloise
Imogen
Lorna
Lola
Evangeline
Freya
Isla
Gemma
Jemima (nickname Jemma, as well)
Damaris
Talitha
Stella (or as a nickname for Estelle or Estella)
Dahlia
Devri
Maura
Elsa
Greta
Laurel
Celia
Edith

Jude
Ezra
Moses
Otis
Gideon
Reuben
Solomon
Saul
Titus
Tate
Milo
Leo (possibly as a nickname for Leopold or another longer form)
Theodore/Theo
Thaddeus
Wade
Walden
Simon or Simeon
Ellis
Morgan - not even top 350 for a boy. Quite refreshing, actually. ;)
Ewan
Oran
Desmond
Deacon
Duncan
Bartholomew
Leland
Lennox
Jasper
Dexter
Dorian
Evander
Everett
Nigel or Niall
Cedric
Emmet(t)
Cyrus
Silas
Quincy
Graham/Graeme
Lance
Conrad
Corbin
Calvin
Magnus
Zane

*** There are others that seem the same style, such as Ruby (though that is top 200), Scarlett or Pearl, that I might avoid with big sister Hazel, by the way ... since they tend to elicit a similar "color" association, if you know what I mean. ;) Also, Phineas (given the celeb sib set), Felicity (given its nearly-identical meaning to Asher's, leaving Hazel the only "unmatched" sibling LOL) ... things of that nature. ;)

None of those listed are in the top 200 (unless I missed one LOL), and many aren't even on the list, though I did try to aim for familiar, though underused. Hope they help!

My grandmother was the queen of unique names! I have aunts named Erleta and Mamia (pronounced mAiMa, uncles named Viniver(we call him Vin) and Newman, cousins Telia (pronounced tee-la), Adron (also my grandpas name) Quinn, Barry Kieth, Lillie Mae, Laurel. As far as names beginning with "t" I do love Telia, also Tasia, Tessa, Tori. Warning tho, I love unique names but you will ALWAYS be having to spell it, explain it to people, especially starting school, doctor visits, etc. Named my daughter Mylee & her last name is also uniquely spelled so I'm always having to explain & spell both to everyone. Good luck!!

How about Finn, Finnley, Reuben, Leon, Louis, Lynden or Griffin for a boy.

Gulliana, Lucinda, Louisa, Ella, Isla, Sharna, Kallena, Simone or Kimran for a girl?

A very unique baby name could be Dharma. It's Sanskrit and means the order of nature and life. It's what makes everything possible. It's symbolised by the wheel. It has a lot of symbolism and sounds rather nice.

Sorry to be a misery. My mother gave me a unique name many years ago, and I am still envious of my friends who have normal names. Probably the worst problems have been having to spell the name several times some days, and having to say it aloud in ceremonies and public events.

For a girl I've always loved Unity. Jessenia is a favourite too. Maybe Anaïs (pronounced Anna-ees)
For a boy a friend of mine named her son Zachary Walker Jones.

Hi, My kids are called Shannon Chloe, Bailey Anthony, Casey Paige and Shaye Harley not too unique. I always liked the name Levis and Oryan for a boy and Aria-Jade for a girl. My sister is called Sadi and my brother Jed Aaron, shame i got stuck with the boring name (Mandy!!!) What were you thinking mum?!
