OMG, how many times is this question going to be asked.
Obama is a Christian, a member of the Church of Christ and guess what it doesn't matter! His middle name is Hussein and that means no more than the fact that Mitt rhymes with sh!t

I have no clue why they are working to cover up his past. I just cannot figure out the difference between 12 people and 10000 people dieing in Kansas. I cannot figure how everything is just a "dumb mistake". It seems to me there are a lot of them. Getting a million dollars for a former employer is just a little much. I almost read the entire article which is quite lengthy. It is also very informative. The Muslims are saying if he is an apostate he needs to die, but most are glorifying him.
I also do not understand why he hates white people so much. His grandparents, that cared for him, was white.

Nothing in Obama's past or present gives any indicaton that he could govern the US in an unbiased & fair fashion for ALL People.----Obama has NEVER been a Man for ALL People.- He is attempting to distance himself from his Muslim past , yet many Muslims will tell you -Once a Muslim always a Muslim.-As one answerer said, it appears that Obama may not have lived up to the true Islamic beliefs which do not condone the murders perpetrated by terrorists.-Obama went one step further by embracing the Trinity United Church of Christ which, according to it's own commitments, believes in Black Liberation + a commitment to Africa + a congregation that is " unashamedly black ".--These commitments would be fine IF they accepted other races which they do not ! --Because this Church is ONLY concerned with Black ethno-centric culture without ANY REGARD for others ...It can, in no way, be considered as Christian.- Obama has always made it perfectly clear that his predominant concern has been with the Black Race....No President can govern our Nation in a just & equitable manner if they are primarilly concerned with just one race of People.

It is obvious enough that they downplay his background, although I do not find the website you reference credible.
What concerns me most about Obama, and what I find disturbing as to what his supporters are willing to overlook, is that he has already committed several mistakes which have actually negatively affected the country's policy -- such as the comments regarding an invasion of Pakistan, and the fact that he would be unwilling to deploy nuclear weapons; one wonders whether they teach the concept of deterrence at Columbia.
Judging from his sloppy work on the campaign trail, he strikes me as too weak and inexperienced.

I don't think being Muslim is important. Neither is being Christian or being Mormon or being Jewish. I'm not aware of anybody "working so hard to cover up" his past or that of anyone else. But then, I don't listen to talk radio either. Religion has ZERO impact on my vote.
I'm fully aware of Obama's past (and the rest of the leading candidates), and so is just about everybody else in America. Or at least, I thought so until I joined Y!A...

As an agnostic I do not care, I do not see any 'coverup' of Obamas past. But come on, a muslim is going to President of the USA when a christian is running India.

I never got the impression that they were covering up his past. He would be rather stupid to think that someone wouldn't bring it up if he ran for President.
I just think that it is rather bigoted that someone is making a judgment on another solely on their religious affiliation. If he is muslim, so what? Who cares? Every religion has their extremists - must I point out the Pro Life faction that murders abortion doctors and blows up clinics? What is the difference between what they do and what Muslim extremists do? They both end up killing innocent individuals because they don't necessarily agree with their views. . .

Um because people are making it a big deal. You gotta do what you gotta do in order to win. Its not like he's compromising his character or anything. In a perfect world (which America is far from being), his past wouldn't matter, Huckabee's past would n't matter, Romney's being a mormon wouldn't matter, and Hilary being a woman wouldn't matter, but it does in this imperfect society. You can't fight it; you just have to adjust.

I can see you've never read either of Obama's two books, "Dreams From My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope." They are NOT trying to cover anything up. It's all out in the open for anyone who bothers to look.
