You are right on target. Reality is between the extremes. Unfortunately when you choose reality you are targeted by the extremes are wishy washy without the courage of your convictions. Sad.

Yes. You cannot realistically resolve all issues using just one approach. Some problems warrant a liberal solution, while some may need a conservative one. It would be rather close-minded to think that one needs to be either one or the other 100% of the time. I totally agree with ntharotep. We should abolish political parties.

I think we should abolish "liberal" and "conservative" just like we shoudl abolish political parties.

I want to vote for an individual and hear what he/she has to say about real issues not what a group has to say about the issues. You know, actually use our minds instead of being led like sheep.

The lines have become so blurred that you get the impression that they were all made by Hasbro and just had different packaging.

None of them have plans for real issues like a plan to keep Americans from choosing between gas, food, and medicine for example.

More often than not that is what the majority of Americans are - liberal on somethings, conservative on some things. Its called the middle of the road and its where a lot of the independents (so-called) are. So yes its very logical and also a reality. You are not alone!

Mainly with anything that could jeopardize the security and.or general state of the union; I've got to vote conservative. With most else I lean liberal, far more than most liberals who's "compassionate" views seem more focused on self preservation than anything else. Regardless I vote conservative because nothing, in my eyes; is more important than our security.

Most people do sway depending upon the issue. Just take a look at our current Presidential candidates, there are several who are socially liberal and fiscally conservative.

However there are also those who agree 100% with the liberal or conservative agenda.

Absolutely, what matters is what is good for this nation and its individual citizens. Fiscally conservative, socially liberal is for the most part the best mix for a healthy society. Too much on one side or the other is a disaster, like we are currently faced with in this torn in two nation.

Where would each party fall in regard to "genocide" or "democide"? There are some issues that are basically a no-brainer that require average thought or consideration--the problem lies where the issues are misconstrued to the point they are "smoked out" this is the breeding ground of illegal activity.

Liberals are more likely to consider issues; Conservatives are more likely to conveniently ignore them.

Logical?

I don't think so. In reality many people are liberal one some and conservative on others but why do you think it's logical to be so?

Not necessarily. One who clings blindly to party lines or social ideologies is one who has not examined his own true opinion. But for the one person in America who is knowledgeable about all the issues and finds that his/her opinions align 100% with one party or the other, I suppose I could find no objection.
