I usually give it to Salvation Army, but the last thing I gave away was old clothes I didn't wear anymore.

oh. haha what a coincidence. I JUST (literally JUST) gave big donation to Goodwill. Every year we try and go around the neighborhood to collect things that the neighbors dont want or are going to throw out, but could still be used my someone. So we gave a repairable grill, a bunch of clothes, some old books and some new ones that nobody wanted :(, shoes, cleaning products (unopened),etc.

I know that most people give away old clothes or books. Goodwill is very good cause and is a great way of "recycling" things that would otherwise just be garbage. If you have anything your thinking of giving to them i suggest you DO IT. And check around to see if anyone else has anything to give to them. Everything makes a difference :)

My time, and pretty much everything I no longer was using. I do the same thing every year. I've been in a situation like that before when my house burned down, so I definatly know what it is like to be on the other side of those donations. I just pray that people can donate enough things to goodwill so that they can keep helping people. They are a great service, and I owe a lot to them.

hold on let me try and remember ( I give a lot and I also have a bad memory..)
um, I think it was housewares, such as tupperware and dishes from my kitchen. But in the past I have also donated clothes, furniture, electronics, and toys. My family is poor, and we receive lots of charity from the community such as food and baby items. So, whenever I come across something I don't need or want, I donate and the Goodwill is usually the recipient.

Oh gee, that was quite a few things, as I had to get rid of a 3 bedroom house full of stuff to move into an apartment...so I gave away furniture, appliances, clothing, pictures, housewares, bedding...the list is just too long to name....I was helped out by Goodwill and places like that when I was down on my luck, and to me, giving this stuff to them, was my way of giving back...

We don't have a Goodwill in my town, so I donate to a local charity and I just dropped off some toys this morning.

Coats that we no longer need, blankets and dishes. My ex and I used to go to downtown Chicago and hand out blankets and coats that we would collect from friends and family but I do not do that any longer, I donate through Goodwill and Salvation Army now.
