Do you think recycled fur/leather/suede.etc. is ethical? Like buying a leather jacket second-hand, not new. Also I want to know why you feel that way.

leather is one thing- we use the rest of the animal for food, so it would actually be wasteful (since the animal is already dead) to NOT use the skin for a useful purpose. On the other hand, animals that are raised solely for their fur or skins are usually not raised in the best circumstances and are, often times, killed in very, very distressingly inhumane ways- google it if you want specifics. I think this is abhorant.

I don't like fur because the animal is killed for that alone. We eat the cow pretty much totally, so using the skin to make clothing makes sense to me. Virtually none of the animal is wasted..and after all, that has been done since 'man' first showed up on this planet.
