California is the best state b/c it has more variety than any other state combined. You have amazing Redwood Forests that grow 300+ feet tall. Barren deserts, alpine mountains, lakes, rivers, farms, ect.... The coast is spectacular all the way from Oregon to the Mexico border and starts off with a nearly deserted cold foggy coast up north and end up being a warm palm tree lined coast down south. We have amazing natural scenery like Yosemite, Joshua Tree, Lake Tahoe, Mt Shasta, Big Sur, ect... We have great cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego. We have tons of theme parks like Disneyland, Universal Studios, Seaworld, ect.... There is so much to do and see all over CA and its the most diverse state out of all of them.

Utah!
It has the most beautiful National Parks in the US:
Zion
Arches
Canyonlands
Bryce
Capital Reef
Plus: National monuments at Hovenweep. Natural Bridges, and Dinosaur

It is a gorgeous state! It also has fabulous skiing at Alta, Park City and others!

Obviously a question that has a lot to do with taste.... I guess it depends on wheather, sights, etc.

I'd recomend northern Florida or georgia, for the Gator parks and good cookin!

I'd pick Florida for a vacation over most other states.
