Hmm.
Preschool, probably an astronaut.
Kindergarten through First grade, I wanted to be an artist.
But after that, I wanted to be a model in about Second grade.
Then in Third grade, I wanted to be a Lawyer.
Fourth grade, I wanted to be a Chef or a Writer.
Fifth grade I wanted to be a Nascar Driver.
That's pretty much as long as childhood lives out I suppose, sadly.

Merry Christmas to you, too, (((((((Kristy)))))!
I wanted to be a singer, writer, playwright (Back then I did not know the term "playwright", but I did write a play), and for a brief time, pilot, until I learned you had to go to military.
As a teen, I wanted to be a writer and singer-songwriter. In fact, I still want to make music and write! But I got to get my stuff copyrighted and get myself in order before I can be a local area performer and must do some more stuff before I can be a writer.
I would have enjoyed acting some if it were not for LOOOONG hours and having to worry about tabloids!

I used to want to be an OB/GYN, but people thought I was talking out of my head & thinking unrealistically. They thought that because of my mental disability, I wouldn't be capable of handling a career like that. I was also turned down from every military branch there is. All my family did was down-talk me & tell me what I CAN'T do. That eventually got in my head, & I found myself flunking Biology, Chemistry, & Math during my 1st 2 yrs. in college, so I switched my major to Spanish, since I like languages. I'd love to translate/interpret for the medical field.

My father was World Geography teacher.
My grandmother was Biology teacher.
My mother was 3rd grade teacher.
It only makes sense that I wanted to be a teacher. I now teach at the local high school. Chemistry and Physics.

Everything that seemed fun, cool, and meaningful: writer, dancer, doctor, teacher, musician, chef/baker/cook, model, Olympic champ, but mostly, I just wanted to be loved & respected & I've found that you don't have to work hard and you don't have to fit in just to be loved & respected. As I got older I learned that I only originally wanted to be a dancer bcuz they were healthy/fit/in shape. That's a good goal. I also learned that I only wanted to be a model bcuz they had great posture & presented themselves well. That's another good goal.

A quicker question would be "What did you NOT want to be when you were a child?"
