When I started yahoo in Dec of 2006; I was sitting here with one foot in the grave waiting for the other to voluntarily fall in....HONEST. I had reduced my life to a 'coma-type' existence. Then , it happened. A fellow yahooer asked if I would be his date to the BUK PIG ROAST and I said 'yes'. Found out this fellow is really heaven sent by God to breathe life into me and send me to a future I never thought I would have. Pilgrim Travler is my miracle in life. I am moving and going to attend MSU...I am alive and kicking like heck to remain so. Merry Christmas to you, Mike. Have a train running around your tree? :))

Not the best year of my life, by any stretch of the imagination, but not nearly the worst! Most of the year I didn't have to work, nobody close to me died, my poor cat got the veterinary care he needed and is all better. Now I'm working again, but I don't hate my job, that's always a good thing!
On the down side, we never settled on a new house, now most of the ones I liked have been sold. My relationship could be better. We can't do anything without him picking a fight with me! Something as simple as asking him to please pay attention to where he's going (framed as a "joke") started a big blow-up. Getting the Christmas decorations out of the shed resulted in World War 3! Before that was over, he told me I could move out! That's 3 or 4 times I can think of off the top of my head he's told me to get out. If he's not careful, one of these days I just might take him up on it! Our "love life" is practically non-existent, and I'm getting real tired of it!
In October, I was supposed to have a real wedding, and a dream honeymoon to Niagara Falls. The wedding has been called off and back on so many times, I'm no longer sure whether we're off or on, and I'm not that worried about it! He wants to run down to the courthouse and just do it. I refuse! If I do this again, I only intend to do it once more. I have to be sure I can live like this forever (and I don't really want to keep on living just like this), and I want a real wedding! I'm not talking about spending thousands and thousands of dollars, but I would like a real wedding dress, flowers, a church (October is too unpredictable for an outdoor wedding, and on our "wedding day" it was miserably cold and raining!), and a reception. A simple reception for about a dozen people shouldn't be that big a deal.
Anyway, I don't know if I even want to do it now. He won't follow his doctors' or dentists' orders, and won't use half his medications, so he's going to probably wind up a blind, toothless, invalid. I don't want to spend my "Golden Years" playing nurse to someone who asked for it!
I had to sell my car, and I didn't want to. That was a good old car. My Blazer was finally towed away to impound. That was a great truck, just needed a little work. I got rid of most of my stuff to move to a town where I don't know anybody, and the only place to shop is Wal-mart! The people renting my place want to buy it or are talking about moving. They've been great tenants and take fantastic care of the place, but I'm loathe to sell. I can still see myself going back home one day.
I haven't had a really, really good year in several years, like before my husband got sick. We had a charmed life together, and I really miss it, and him. There's no going back, though.
So was my year good? Not really. Could have been a lot worse, though, so I'm not complaining. How has yours been?

Last two years have been the best years of my life. My daughter got back from service in Iraq and had a baby girl, my first grandbaby. Joy abounds as it keeps getting better as is my wish for you.
