Just wondering what the nautical star stands for..dont answer me with mean **** please just tell me if u know what it means and leave it at that.thanks.

Well, what comes to my mind is the four point "star" printed on maps,
that has to do with compass directions, but Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nautical_star shows a 5 pointed star with coloring to make it 3D. Black and red are usually blood and dirt, which has little to do with the ocean.

is what I think is a nautical star - a 4 pointed that was printed on maps to indicate north that also has points to NW, etc., and marks on the circle to NNW, WSW, etc. It doesn't "mean" anything except to give useful information in a decorative way.
If you had taken the words wasted on precomplaining about possible answers and used them to further define what you are talking about, you might get better answers.

It's a sailor's good luck symbol. Since sailors used the stars to navigate, the nautical star was supposed to help guide them home safely. :)

they don't represent anything anymore, just like tribal tattoos, they have become a cliche tattoo for bros and tards that dont have any original ideas

i heard the thing about sailors. but i also heard it was a symbol for homosexulality. most ppl don't know that and get tattoos w/ the star.
