What are you smoking? Conservatives are Republicans and they had the White House and Congress for six years and spent us into record debt. They had to raise the debt ceiling several times.
Republicans like to give big tax breaks to oil companies and the top 1% of the population but still spend billions on war for oil and treasure on the other side of the world. Our children and grandchildren will be footing the bill for this and Reagan/Bush I still outstanding debts that Clinton tried to pay down.

I don't know about Liberals, but Bush and his cohorts having been spending it like its going out of style. From a surplus to over a 9 trillion deficit it less than 8 years. You have more to worry about than Liberals.

Why does my tax dollars have to keep paying for Republican wars, killing people for "peace", spreading anti-Americanism world-wide? Wish I could vote for where my taxes were spent. I'd start with health care for disabled people who are not 100% disabled, working part-time to full-time, but are not eligible for health care coverage, who've worked all their lives, but are considered "useless" by our society.

Fundamentally, because socialists believe that all of the money of us individuals should belong to the State. A state ruled by them, of course.
Some other bloke on this site said that taxation is a theft under the power of a state gun.
"Give me my money back and I shall start my own personal war against poverty, George/Gordon."
Charity without personal cost is the mark of a hypocrite.

Because they think the state is the answer to all problems.
They just have a different opinion on the role of government than I do, you do, oh yeah and they also have a different opinion on the role of government than the US Constitution does (see the 10th Amendment).
