Periods are not regular until you reach age 18 or so. If the cramps are bad, go see a gynocologist. It may be uncomfortable, but if something is wrong you need to know as soon as possible. Good luck.

You don't say how old you are but if you've only been having your period for a year or so then skipping periods can be normal. Other things that can affect your cycle are stress, exercising excessivly (like training for a marathon etc..) being over weight or under weight. If you miss this period then I would schedule an appointment with a doctor.
Try not to worry - it's probably nothing. Our bodies like to do stupid things like this to us once and a while!!

Well, if you are younger and you just got your period for the first time in the past 2 years, it could just be irregular. I've had the same problems, and I knew I wasn't pregnant. There's nothing to worry about, you'll most likely get it soon. If you miss more than 3 months, you might wanna see your doctor.

Good luck, periods stink! ;)

This happens to everyone..however, if it goes on longer than a month or 2, go to your doctor and let them know what's going on. Even tho we enjoy it when it doesn't comes, it isn't healthy after a little while. my gyno had to put me on yasmin to help regulate my cycle. It broke me out for 3 months, but when I got thru those 3 months it was very well worthy. not only did it help keep my cycles regulated, it cleared up my skin as well! good luck!

Have you been exercising a lot lately and being really phsyically active? If so that can cause missed periods. Given the bad cramps I would see a doctor to ensure that there isn't a cyst or something else causing the pain.

You're fine if you're extremely athletic. If you are, you could go several months without a period. When I was a teenager had about 5 to 6 periods in a year. Being heavily involed in sports will do that to you like tennis, ballet, gymnastics etc. Also NOT eating will do that to you. Weight loss takes away periods too.

sudden weight gain or weight loss can affect your period. also high levels of stress can do it. Are you taking any diet pills or birth control? Are you very athletic? Some girls that are very physically active can miss a period. If you don't start by the time your next one is due or if you are in any pain I would go to your doctor.

If you've taken pills that have something to do with your blood, then this may be delaying your period. Maybe you'rehighly irregular. If it doesn't come in a couple of weeks, see a doctor because it could be serious.

Lack of a menstrual period is called amenorrhea or secondary amenorrhea. The most common cause is pregnancy. It is also common at both ends of woman's menstrual history--in early adolescence and just before menopause. Secondary Amenorrhea is a symptom, not a disease in and of itself. You need to see the doctor about this. Don't let it go.

This happens to me too.
(I'm a virgin too.)
I don't know why,but it does.
Your just not regular yet.
My period is starting to come when expected.
It should regulate soon.
But if it doesn't,see a doctor.
I hear birth control regulates your period.
But birth control has alot of bad side effects.
So ask your doctor 1st.
