Some cruise lines are requiring passports for cruise travel now. But not all. By summer 2008, you will need a passport to cruise out of the country. Best to check with your cruise lines.

Starting January 1, 2008 you will need a passport to return to the US. You will need a photo ID and the card that they issue you on ship to get off the ship in the Bahamas
