I probably would. I could be knowledgeable in everything and an expert in nothing...thats when the cabinet is necessary. They are experts in that field or department and it would really help if you choose the right people.

I'd have to; the Presidency is already a 24x7 job without having to manage a dozen gigantic bureaucracies - which is what the cabinet is for (besides offering advice and guidance to the President).

Absolutely. All our greatest presidents named great men who were expert in the fields to their cabinets and then relied heavily on their expertise. Only the weak, ineffectual ones like Carter thought they could do it all on their own.

It's impossible for a President to micro manage the US Government, only Liberal pinheads try like Jimmy Carter try and I am sure if he were elected Algore would have done the same thing. John Kerry also would have micromanaged the gov. and Im sure Hillbilly will do the same if she is elected, beware of people who feel they are the smartest person for the job.

You would have to rely on them for alot of things..

They give you information, they manage certain departments, they do alot of the daily things you would not be able to do.

As president, you need to be able to view the big picture, not get too overwhelmed with minor repetatvie tasks that any trained chimp could do.

i would have a really good cabinet. no Cheneys, Rumsfelds, Ashcrofts, William Gates or Gonzalezes. one of my best skills is being a top notch judge of character and reliability. i am practically psychic in this area. i am like Columbo.... reliable or unreliable i would be all over it. goon heads would roll. so it would depend on who i could get.

you should vote for me. Gherd Penefore for president. my campaign slogan would be 'chumps in the trunk'.

The job of president is a big one and its easier to delegate portions of it to responsible people that the president knows and trusts.

The president selects his/her cabinet. If they couldn't trust them than don't nominate them, if they screw up after they take office they can be asked for their resignation.
