I went to school for office administration and couldnt find a stable job..just temp. I started working at this insurance company as an accounts payable clerk. I did very well and a position opened as an administrative assistant. I aksed if i qualified for the position, they said yes and that it was a promotion and I got the job. I spoke with my supervisor when i was given the job and she said she would make sure i got more money (in exact words) I didn't hear anything as far as a raise for a few weeks and i asked her what was going on with it. she said she would find out and hasent gotten back to me. Its been about a month now. They said it was a promotion and I would like an increase in pay since i am doing four times the amount of work than i did in the previous position. I want the experience but im only making 13/hour and i need more money..when shouldilook

Before running out and getting another job, have a talk with your supervisor. If there is a problem, find out what it is. If you do look for another job, don't quit this one, until you get the next one.

1. If you can't afford to get married and have a baby, without support, then don't. 2 If you can't afford college, try going to the trades unions and see about getting into an apprenticeship program. You can learn a trade and get paid as well or even better than you are being paid now. Once you make it to the journeyman level and even Master Level, the pay will be very good. 3. There is always the military, if you qualify.

Sometimes when you don't get your issues resolved in a
timely manner you become aggitated and you make hastey
decisions. So, before you run out and lose your job try talking to your supervisor, and in the mean time look for a better job.
You sound like a smart person, good-luck with your decision.
