It's not.
bush is NOT America and it's always cool to question ones elected officials rather than trailing along behind them like a mindless lemming.

It's not cool to hate America...but at the same time, it ain't cool to pretend that we aren't going in the wrong direction as a nation.
We have to be able to look ourselves in the mirror...

If you know people who hate America you certainly don't live where I do. Everyone I know loves America. If they hated her they wouldn't still be here. There are people in our country who are very much extremists, radicals, to them anyone who doesn't agree with them to the letter, exactly not an iota of difference, must hate America or is somehow a traitor. Of course sane people and those who are more toward the center like a mainstream conservative or liberal know that those who disagree with them do not hate America.

Actually, it is not "cool" to hate America.... nor is it "cool" to hate at all. Hatred makes hypocrits of us all... because we become that which we hate. An example of this would be the abused child who hates his/her abusive parent... but then becomes an abusive person themself.
For me... I do not hate America, but I am most definitely not supportive of what we are becoming at the hands of our corrupt government. Hatred helps nothing... knowledge, understanding, and action are what is needed.

Being a progressive, democratic American means that you and yours are right no matter what. GWB is an idiot and the war is wrong. America stands for family, god, morals, and the golden rule. Progressive America Haters believe in a one world mentality that is against the Amerian spirit that has made our nation strong. It is cool to hate America because when your IQ is low, you can band together for a common, ignorant cause and feel like you're part of something.

It's natural for some people to hate America when the current administration shows how much it hates the world and the rights of its own citizens.

Because we have the worst President and administration in our history and because we have killed thousands of people who did not attack us and have made the world a much more dangerous place for all countries.

I've always been pro America - heck I have always lived here. But once you personally experience the bad sides of America you find out all the imperfections America truly has. There are hundreds of countries that are a million times worse then America but there are quite a few other countries that are way better! Check it out
