I've stayed in about a dozen different Strip properties, and NYNY is near the top of my list. (I'm a hotel snob, a Hilton is considered "roughing it" for me.) The rooms are clean. The hotel is well staffed and secure. There's a lot of choices to eat - even if you just feel like a little something.
I have to tell you, there was an issue the last time I stayed there - the couple across the hall from me got a little out of control, and let me tell you - security was RIGHT on them and they were escorted off the property right away. And as discreetly as possible as to not disturb the other guests.

We stayed at NYNY for our honeymoon -- of course, this was now 5 years ago, but I thought it was great! Room was good size, bathroom was nice and clean, right on the strip. We ate at several of the restaurants which were all very good. You can walk to nearby MGM Grand, Luxor, with Caesar's Palace, Paris, Bellagio being just just a little farther (we walked everywhere!) I would stay there again in a second! I mean, sure, you can pay hundreds of dollars to stay at a nicer hotel, such as Bellagio, but really...do you spend that much time in your room in Vegas??? Just talking about it makes me want to go back :).

Honestly its nice, but nothing great.
I have stayed at about 10 hotels in Vegas, and it would rank towards the bottom. But then again I have stayed in many very nice hotels.
I did like the rooms.. but the casino, lobby and Rests. were nothing to write home about.

Nice Hotel Rooms are clean just like any other hotel in Vegas.
