Here in F country people do it all the time.
Ever hear of tailgating?
People barbecue in sub zero temperature at football games .
Gas or charcoal does not matter unless it is very windy & you do not have a covered grill.
There is an annual charity event in February .
People have a swim in the river.& afterward. the grills are great for some hot food as well as thawing out the old" twig & berries."
The grill will work fine , question is will you?
Great excuse to have a stiff one ( drink) when you go inside.
Best regards

I do all the time, in fact I am smoking a ham for Christmas. I don't even have a covered patio.

Absolutely. I never pass up a chance to fire up the grill, even in the snow.

You can barbecue as long as you can stand the cold. We had to barbecue for a Boy Scout badge for my son and we had to do it in winter...so it can be done.
