As long as two people have a mutual interest in each other, it doesn't matter what race they are. If they fall in love and get married, that's fine, too. In fact, some of the most beautiful people are the result of an inter-racial marriage!

Well.. I don't believe in inter-racial relationships.. but before you go to calling me a racist... let me explain. In some parts of the world and in the USA this is acceptable and nothing is wrong with it. In my personal eyes nothing is wrong with it either.. however, I see on a daily basis how the offspring of an inter-racial couple are treated and NOBODY has the right to do that to a child. I have saw these children be mistreated all my life... and it just isn't right for them to go thru such ridicule ... I guess what I am saying.. it is fine where it is totally acceptable~~if such a place exists.. cos as we all know, it is not acceptable in the South, and unfortunately, I am embarrassed and ashamed to say it probably never will be. sigh..

clearly it does mean something to you, otherwise this question would not have crossed your mind.

Many people answering this question seem to believe that inter-racial relationships are somehow better than the alternative. There is nothing wrong with dating someone of another race but it also needs to be said that dating someone from your own race is ok as well.

It can be very difficult to deal with societal reactions in some cultures, whereas in the West there is much more acceptance. If the people are strong and committed then it is not a big barrier, but if there is any tentativeness, the racial differences can make it harder.

All Humans are inter-racial - look back far enough in your family tree and you'll see what I mean.

Well, I personally am not a fan, but of course that is the way I was raised. I am torn between two beliefs. I believe that people, though I am not racial in the least, should stay with their own race, as that is how God intended it. But I also believe that love knows no boundaries. Really, interracial relationships don't concern me, as I have never been attracted to guys of another race.

Honestly I never even think about it! We live in such a multicultural world now and it's great. Race is counting for less and less (which is great). You should be in a relationship with someone because you love them, not because they're the same race as you. And love is blind. And certainly not racist!
