If the fever reaches 101 degrees F then get in with him in a cool bath to bring the fever down, he might play and that will help him relax too. Try the pain and fever medicine right away. Keep a close eye on the fever temp. the fever might return for up to three days, It did with my first baby. I'm on my sixth now. But a fever is a sign of an infection so being so young make an appointment with the doctor tomorrow morning. Be patient and slow down yourself, your emotions getting all stirred up wont help him relax.
Just breath and let him cry, take a bath and put on some relaxing music, walk with him, talk to him, turn on a box fan, or try some loud music or a vacuum. Once the fever is down it to will help him relax any other time. Sometimes loud noises help the baby, it was pretty noisy in your belly. So something like a fan or a vacuum will distract him. Good Luck Hun.

Liquid Tylenol does wonders for fevers. Follow the dosage instructions carefully.
If the fever is intense (above 102 or so) or long lasting, and especially if it doesn't respond to Tylenol then get the child to a doctor.

Take him to the pediatrician and have him checked. It could be just a cold, an ear infection. But a fever (depending on how high) is not good in a young infant.

How high is the fever? With him being so young you need to call his doctor.

If his fever is over 100.4 you need to take him to the ER but if it is just low grade give him some infant Tylenol.

It is possible that he has a ear infection. I would recommend either calling his doctor or taking him to the emergency room at your local hostile, just to be safe.

Yahoo answers is really not the place to get medical advice. You need to take your child to a doctor who can properly diagnose and treat the problem.
Good luck and I hope your baby feels better.
