Red and blue will give you a purple. Depending on the blue you are using, giving it a touch of yellow will either make it burgandy or make it muddy. Thalocyanine blue will give you the burgandy, ultramarine or reflex blue will give you mud. When you mix the blue and red, start with more red and just a little blue. Mix well and see where you are. You want a red purple. When you have it add a little yellow. Mix again and test. Paint dries a little darker that when its wet, so test a small swatch by drying with a hair dryer. Thalo blue is a blue with a little green. Ultramarine is like a dark royal blue. If you add white you will dull the color.
Experiment in small batches until you have it!
Good luck!
PS, Mixing colors opposite each other on the color wheel will dull and cancel the colors. Like if something is too orange, take out some of the orange with a light tinting of blue and so forth.
