I know this sounds dumb but it has always confused me. How do you pronound Elijah? Is it ee-lie-ja, or ee-lie-sha, or ee-lie-zha. I know those keys don't make sense but please, I am very confused. p.s. I do like the name!

Elijah is pronounced e-LIE-jah. Elisha is pronounced e-LIE-sha. They're two different names but were contemporaries in the Bible.

You pronounce the name either ee-LIE-zha or ee-LIE-ja. It depends on the recipient of the name. Or you- whichever you prefer.

it actually depends ee-li-ja, ee-li-zha i think most people say it different than everyone else. the perant of the person may have chosen to pernounce it different.
