Pregnant With The Savior
Written By Semper Fi Reborn

She must have been afraid,
Of what the others would say.
How many times,
Did Mary kneel and pray?
Who would believe,
The story she would unfurl?
She's pregnant by who,
The God of the World?
Stone her,
They would've cried!
Yet God placed Joseph,
By her side.
They stood in Faith,
On what Gabriel said.
Yet what went on,
Inside Mary's head?
Why me, why me,
Lord why pick me?
I am not worthy enough,
To do this for Thee!
Yet the Fruit of her womb,
Was The Holiest Lamb,
The Lion of Judah,
And Savior of man.
To have such and honor,
Must be both joyous and odd.
To be Blessed from On High,
To give Birth to Our God.

As a woman, I can truly relate to how Mary must have felt to have been chosen to give birth to the Son of God, and your poem describes exactly how I would have felt, unworthy. God bless you!!!

This is excellent!

It goes to show someone who does the will of God, someone who stands firm until the end, but still has her fears and wonders why. But she kept the faith, an example she is!
