What are Firewalls made of that were used between classrooms in schools, (preferably in Georgia), in the?

1970's. What color and texture were those walls? What I am looking at is a silver metal that is textured. Something is eating holes in it. From my research on Termites, they don't eat metal or the like. What could be doing this damage?

Probably asbestos in side a pre fab wall painted with a fire retard paint.TERMITES COULD BE EATTING THE PRE FAB WALLS.
