My neighborhood is nice but people seem to stay in their backyards almost all the time (FL/ pools).
It's so quiet, I wish they got together once in a while.

well it depends. i am a single girl and i like my independence. a, b and c are all good actually but they all have their flaws too. like young party type- yeah they'll be friendly and you know how too much partying can turn up sometimes, you won't be surprised if one night police will come by lol =) and i wouldn't prefer a very quiet one coz it's kinda scary in a way.. what if there's one night that you have to go home late and there's no one out there that you know who can help you if there's troubel right?

as for me, i prefer living in an apartment/condo because like ive said, im single and i cant be so sure with my security. for me, if i will find another place, security will come first to mind and it's accessibility to transportation (if you don't drive) and close supermarkets and other stuffs.

we are germans and live in Thailand now for more than 10years, we live in Pattaya which is an amazing holiday and party city, our house is 5 km out of town on a quite lake with a beautiful tropical natural surrounding. We really love the mix our house in tranquility and 5 km from here we have everything one can ever imagine, excellent shopping, great restaurants and nightlife, medical services, beaches as far one can look, a short 1,5hr drive to Bangkok Airport, the neighbouring countries Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, all in a 2-3hrs flight distance.
Life here is very relaxed and not overregulated, people are tolerant so everybody can live his lifestyle as crazy as it might be.Living expenses are less than half of that in the western world.
Living in TH and especially in Pattaya is heaven on earth

Well first of all I do not like where I live. I live in a neighborhood full of people that weird me out and loose dogs that bark all night. In our whole neighborhood there are mostly Mexicans and only few Americans. We are Mexican/American.

A and C. I want to live in a family type of neighborhood and a quiet neighborhood.

I love where I live.
My neighborhood has a good mix of families- some teens- some younger kids.
There are black, white and mexican neighbors, and we don't have any problems.
You don't hear about a lot of crime (cars and houses getting broken in to, property damage, etc.) and it is a very peaceful neighborhood.
I hope it stays that way!
There aren't many places where everyone can get along with each other regardless of age and race.

I love parties but i don't want drunks throwing up all over my house. The quiet neighborhood is way too boring. so the family type neighborhood soo works for me. especially a place where there r a lot of people my age that i can hangout with anytime i want.

Yeah, it's pretty good. I live reasonably close to family. But I have to say I would love to live in a quiet neighbourhood, and when I get older I'm pretty sure I'm going to move to a remote area. I live too close to the city now and even though I grew up here it's so crowded and noisy and polluted.

I´m retired, and thinking to go an live in a small fishermen village south in Mexico, by the jungle, taking with me a small boat to fish me a fish every day, or every other day if I get a big one, write my memoirs, and if lucky, get me a local lady to live with me. I wanna have a parrot and teach him all the bad words I can remember so I won´t get nostalgic, I will do that next February and put in my blog all my adventures, tired of all the big lines, and noises in the city, with a Dish TV and my Internet, will do just fine, Ty.

I like where I live, lots of families, but nothing crazy going on. However I wouldn't mind living in a very quiet neighborhood, I tend to like that.

Yes, I'm very happy where I live. It's a quiet, family type area.

C.

Though my neighbourhood is quite, and my cat likes it around here very much, I would like to have a small house rather than my flat. Even though it is a very nice flat with lots of room. And big garden. Here in Oswestry (England) so might move somewhere else still in same location to stay close to family and friends.
