Simple, I never answer the door or the phone when I eat.

Yeah, if it's not the doorbell it is a cold call on the phone.
I think they do it intentionally at meal times.

not as bad as sitting yourself down, with your hot dinner to watch tv while eating, and the ad break come on. And then lasts forever! by the time your tv programme comes on you have eaten your dinner, feel stressed and worked up as continus adverts have SHOUTED commands and thrown bland repetative images at you. Some dinner!

damn i hate it when it happens, but it happens all the time, maybe its a conspiracey,
you sit down to dinner, someone rings the doorbell, while your away from your plate, someone sticks some mind controlling pills in it,

Yes I run to the door get rid of them as quickly as possible, and then my dinners too cold for me.
