It depends on the person.

My husband had absolutely no interest whatsoever in video games, but became absolutely fascinated and addicted when I brought home "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" which is an action/adventure role playing game, and if you're not familiar with the Zelda series, this will absolutely astound and amaze you!

Good FPS (first party shooter) games for adults include "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption", which is a sci-fi featuring superior graphics, good storyline and tight controls, and "Resident Evil 4", a horror story where you kill zombies--somewhat violent and bloody as well. Both these games also incorporate elements of action/adventure role playing in them, and the storylines are quite good!

A good party game for young adults is "Warioware: Smooth Moves", featuring roughly 200 lightening fast minigames which you literally have only seconds to figure out--they're quite funny too! A good party game for older adults is "Kabooki", which is similar to the board game by the same name produced by Cranium.

Another good educational game for the whole family is "Big Brain Academy", which challenges and tests you in various areas: Logic, memory, math and visualization. It is believed it can actually help improve your test taking ability and scores, plus, it's fun!

Super Mario Galaxy is regarded as the best made game available for the Wii console. We own it, but I don't happen to really enjoy that particular genre--a platformer, where you run various obstacle courses to reach the end.

There are the World War II games that simulate actual battles, such as Call of Duty 3 on the invasion of Normandy, and Metal of Honor: Heroes 2 which can be played on-line with up to 32 different players. Along with "Blazing Angels" a World War II flight simulator.

I like getting my morning aerobics in by dancing to DDR (dance, dance revolution). There is another Wii exercise due to come out in January called "Wii Fit" which features yoga and pilates and promises to provide a good "core" workout.
