I understand your concern. Today many people see no difference between famous and infamous. There is a kind of disassociation with reality. We have become voyeuristic, immoral and incapable of discerning the difference between the loss of innocent life and video games.

Thank you for your military service!

Merry Christmas

The first thing to remember about mass murderers is..........they arent all the same. Some work best in secrecy, others are looking for notoriety. Mass murderers were around long before mass media, each has been unique. The thing about the media is, they should be Required to cooperate with law enforcement for the greater good. Its not always best to publicize every detail, every name (inviting copycats or corollary violence). I know, Freedom of the Press zealots disagree, but, too bad. Freedoms arent absolute, once they affect others. And yes, lethal injection is fast, cheap, and desirable..........as long as we Never Make a Mistake (theres been way too many mistakes over the years).

It seems like most mass murders are trying to make their place in history. I think it is best for the media to cover the story by focusing on the victims. If the murder is dead then there is no reason to make their identify pubic. If the the murder is still alive then as little as possible should be shared with the pubic. The worst thing that can happen to mass murders to deny them the lime light.

Hey Mayflower! No way should Mass Murderer's identities be kept secret from the public. But at the same time, we shouldn't focus on them, or give them the publicity they strive for. I think if found guilty, we should NEVER have to worry about them again. Can we all say Lethal Injection!

I don't like the media, but they should make mass murderers known, just in case the murderer might be on the run.

Yes. They turn these monsters into celebrities. Then other unbalanced lunatics see it and think "hey, that's how I can become famous too!". I think they should just focus on the victims and forget about the perpetrators.

I believe if they are ' convicted ' murderers they should be fully identified to the public, whatever age they may be.
