I like to take picture of houses, is it legal to take picture of other people's houses from public streets ?

As a general rule it's legal to take a picture anywhere where people don't have an expectation of privacy. So it would be legal to take a picture of a house from the street, but it may be illegal to sneak up to the house and take a picture of the inside through a window.

However, if people see you walking up and down the street taking pictures of houses, they may very well call the police. This is because it looks suspicious, like you're planning a burglary. The police probably wouldn't arrest you, but they could give you a hard time about it.

If you're going to do this, I recommend you try to be discreet so that you won't creep people out or have to deal with the cops.

Yes, anything visible from a public street is on public display. Anyone conducting an appraisal, for any reason, will probably photograph the house from the street.

Yes

You have no expectation of privacy on a public street.

Someone may think you are scouting for a robbery or stocking or something.
