Will FEMA take our generator if they reimburse us for it?

We bought one while they fix the power lines from the ice storm here in Kansas/ We were told we would get reimbursed, but that they will take the generator. Is that true???

I hope so, why should you get to keep it if you are reimbursed??

Who told you that FEMA would reimburse you? Was there a federal disaster declaration for the ice storm?
