WIC and if they deny you of it go to the next city to apply, also food stamps and try United Way to find out where to go for food but watch the date labels and the freshness preservation of the organization giving the free food.don't be too proud it is the baby's life that depends on you now especially in the first 8 months because it's nerves are developing, breast feeding is the best and don't be at all discouraged by thin milk it is the best and the way it starts out and it will get thicker later.if you can't get anywhere that is safe or in a safe manner call EMS and tell them you both are starving to death.

At the risk of being reduntant, breastfeeding!

WIC gives breastfeeding mothers food, milk, juice and free breast pumps if needed. There are free lactation consultants available through the WIC program. Those women gave me the knowledge, confidence and determination to nurse my first baby until she was finished at 14 months. I'm nursing my two year old now, and it's an easy, fast and cheap source of comfort for her.

WIC - Women, Infant and Children. They give free formula (enough to cover the month usually) or give you food if you are breastfeeding. They give cereal at 4 months if I remember correctly. When I was breastfeeding they gave cheese, eggs, cereal, carrots, etc. for me and then they gave voucher's for farmer's markets. I made all my last son's food. It was extremely economical!! They are in all states and only depend on income. They are a nutrition program. Also it won't count against DSHS if you are on it.

wics helps sooo much you can find the number in the phone book in the government pages i think that's where i found it. it's a really simple, you set up an appointment show your income ect and how your baby is eating and such then the weight and measure them and determine how many cans of formula they give you and print out checks and you can go to a store that provides for wics... they actually have a print out of the places you can go and then tell the cashier that the formula is for wics and your good hope that helps

You can find help at your local food bank and also the WIC program can help too. WIC ( Women Infant Children) this program gives the mother a food voucher to use towards her family. The program provides milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs and cereal. Your child can get voucher's up to five years , look up your local WIC office in your phone book or pediatrician.

If you are in the low income bracket, you qualify for food stamps, that should help your baby as well as yourself. As others suggested, check out WIC online, and get that information as well. If you are a single mother, you should be getting the child support the baby needs to support its needs. Good luck, and I hope this helped!

try your local church and see if they can help or know of any places. i know in california where i used to live the church up the street used to have days where they would give away food to the lower class families. you can also try the fire departments to see if they are affiliated with any organizations that help families, if not WIC is your next best thing. hope you find something. also if your old enough try and find a job so you can support your baby (if it's yours). there are many organizations out there willing to help you out to find a job and daycare.
