That's sleazy, isn't it? Unfortunately this is a dog eat dog country in the business world at least, and companies often get rid of higher paid employees and start new people with low paying part time jobs with no benefits. That's so Republican.

In most states, the employer can simply inform the employees that the have the option of accepting a lower rate, or leaving the company. Laying them of is an unnecessary step. You don't have a 'right' to work for a particular company. You don't have a right to be paid anything above MINIMUM wage.

the employers are working a business enterprise, not an afternoon care. in the event that they ought to place off, they ought to achieve this in a well timed way. in the event that they be able to offer slightly extra notice because of the trip, it is as much as the corporation. so a techniques as being fired instantaneous...employers in many cases basically try this as quickly as the worker is extremely messing up, hence, the worker would desire to have checked themselves earlier it have been given to that factor.

It's legal but it says that your employer is stupid.

He could have just said "Effective next week your pay is lower", and then he wouldn't have to worry about you filing for unemployment.
