Historians say that John F. Kennedy was the greatest. I disagree. I think that he was not the greatest because he did not do much before coming president. As a personal opinion i would say that honor probably goes to George Washington. I'm not just saying that because he was our first. He fought in the Revolutionary War. General George Washington and his army of poor, starving farmers beat the British that had guns, bats, cannons, and anything else they wanted because His Majesty (King George II) would provide it. Also, I think that any other General or someone that served in the army would be in third. But, in second I think would be Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Roosevelt was crippled but he still became president. He went around in a wheelchair but America still adored him. I believe that's a great example of overcoming a disability. Also, there was a law that a president could only serve 2 terms (8 years). Mr. Roosevelt served for more than twelve. He was in his fourth term when he died. America loved him that much. So, in summary I say that George Washington is greatest, then Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the any president that served for his country.
