Very novice poet....is this ok?

I am thinking of giving this to my gf along with a promise ring. I do not do this often so please, give me your suggestions....thanks.

I give this ring
to my angel from above
I give this ring
as a symbol of my love
this ring comes with promises
to which I commit
i know you are my soul mate
to this I admit.
The first of these promises
that i write down
Is to always make you smile,
should i ever see you frown
to keep you warm ,
on the coldest of nights
to never turn my back
if things are'nt going right
To always be there,
through the good times and bad
To never ever hurt you,
or make you feel sad
But the most important promise
is my promise of love
and always make you feel like
You have found the man you've been dreaming of.

Capitalize "i"

Also NEVER apologize here or anywhere, for expressing emotion; Most especially DO NOT gift your girl friend with this piece saying anything such as "It's not so good" OR even "I hope you like it."

You'll know in moments how she feels, without asking.

Your challenge is living up to your "promise"

I'd also drop "promise" in this line

"But the most important promise"

But Most important,
is my promise of love.
and "TO" always "HELP" (NEVER MAKE)
YOU "believe" you've found.....etc.
