I saw a list of top 8 google adsense earnings. The difference was huge. It went from number 1 being $300,000 monthly to number 8 being $10,000 monthly. Is that it? Only $10,000 per month? I honestly expected a higher earning from Google Adsense. Now I'm questioning if it's worth trying it. I'm only 13 years old by the way.

No. I don't earn $10,000 a month. I just saw a site that says the top 8th person only earns $10,000 a month. Is that it? A measly $10,000 is the top 8th profit?

I'm not afraid to do work. I'm just afraid that all my work will be in vain.

I saw a list of so called top Adsense earnings sites with $10,000 as the minimum -- and that is COMPLETELY UNTRUE
I know of several sites that earn more than $10K from Adsense that are not on the list.
That listing is just a listing of web owners who publicly declared how much they earn, and some folks compiled that into this list.
But to say that only 8 people earn more than $10,000 is completely UNTRUE
And for you to join Adsense you will need permission from your parents and submit their SSN for tax purposes

You think $10,000 per month is a measly amount??
I would be happy if I could earn $500 per month from Adsense. I just about make $150, with two sites, five blogs, and nearly two years in the program.
There are a very small number of people who make a huge income with Adsense, but the majority don't even make $100 per month. Then there's a significant number who make around $100-$500. More than that is very rare.
Adsense is just a sideline for someone who enjoys building and maintaining their website. It's not a full-time income for more than a handful of people.

I'm 18. Im at university and I make money with Google Adsense on my three websites. I am not rich, nor do I think using Google Adsense will ever make me rich. It does however provide a good income, one of my sites makes $500-$700 a month.- i think thats great!
I agree that Google Adsense, to the vast majority is no more than a way of making a small amount of profit. The way to make real money, (without selling a product seems to be through affiliate programs). I'm working on that at the moment, but for now, why not try one of my new sites for more information on Adsense and affiliate programs?
My site is:

I find it a little strange to hear $10,000 being called a measly amount. It is not easy to earn even a small amount from Adsense, it requires building a highly trafficked website- Not an easy task! (You can learn more about it at the website I mentioned above).
Thanks

Where did you see that list?
I don't know why people think it's so easy to earn a lot of money with Adsense. They put up a page about their dog and then they wonder why nobody comes to visit their site and click on the ad.
Why would Google or their advertisers pay tens of thousands of dollars each month for doing little work?

It is true, you must be at least 18 to do it..So have mom or dad sing up and you do the work..... You have to give them a ss# in order to get payed so ask your mom or dad to do that part. You just do the rest and hope mom or dad does not want their profit (HE HE) well as far as the big difference in profit. I believe that it is how high that site ranks in the search engine if it is a big site they just keep getting bigger and the small lower on the search engine well stays just that small. best of luck to you in your new business yourmallthat.com

Nerdfighters FTW! Smart people rule . Considering that you're not even in highschool and that in most states you're not allowed to get a job until you're 16 thats a pretty good number.

And you'd be lucky to make anywhere near $10,000 a month. Most people make a lot less.
