yes. Elizapress creates many anthologies of poetry I am in several anthologies myself. One I am even the featured writer. So try them!

Also look up literary journals and poetry journals on-line for places to have your work published. www.poets.org is a good place for this.

Copyright law actually says that you are sole owner of the work upon its creation. I suggest dating all handwritten works. Also anything you place on the internet WILL at some point be used without your knowledge, it is just how the internet works. So unless you want to get lawyers and such I wouldn't worry too much about it from a financial aspect. Look at the "famous" poets their stuff is all over the net being used by people for free and they do not complain like the musicians do.

Poetry.com will take any drivel and pester you for years into buying there books. I agree with the other poster stay away from them, it is a sham. No "legit" poets submit there that I know of.

No real offense but "wrip"???

As much as I'm immersed in technology in 2007, I'm not at all in favor of E publishing; although to attempt the conventional method can be tedious, and often end in discontent.

I must tell you very honestly though, Plagarism is as rampant as fleas, and so often goes un-policed, even in copyright works.

Hopefully you won't engage in Poetry.com, (my personal opinion) but yes there are likely valid publishers still in operation.

Check out literary reviews and submit your work to one of them. They don't pay, but you'll get the credit and exposure.
