All of a sudden it hurts to put a tampon in, and it wont go in all the way and when i pull it out.. it hurts really bad...sometimes even making a sharp pain in my abdomen.

This is not normal (especially the sharp pain in the abdomen). I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.

How long have you been using tampons? Month's, years? If only for 'month's it is normal for some discomfort and tightness depending on the tampon sometimes. And
If you are using one when you are not bleeding heavily of course there can be pain and discomfort. As for pain in your abdomen...no this is not normal. Do you have the pain in your abdomen any other time? Not sure what to say without more info. Anyway...if concerned, have it checked out...
