Many people do not know it but a Viet Nam vet by the surname of Rambo was killed in Viet Nam unknown to the actor Sly Stalone when he made the movie. The real heros family was very upset over the draftdodger stalone making this movie to make money. Do you think this was wrong?

Mike S: Wayne did not recieve a bad conduct discharge and this is false. Show me the money. Wayne was 32 when the war started and for being a foot soldier he probably could not have hacked it . I was 19 and in great physical shape when i was drafted and went through Tigerland Ft. Polk (Collin Farrell made a movie on this place) and it almost wasted me. Wayne was a disappointment to me in the fact he never really got around to getting into the war and that is true. John Wayne did alot for the military in this country and at least he did not bad mouth his country and refuse to be drafted like the coward Cassius Clay. Many of us Viet nam vets actually gained courage and strength by remembering the old Wayne war movies. We were just boys and we needed Wayne in or memories.

escher: The Viet Nam vet named Rambo can be found on the Viet Nam vet memorial page. there was a special on television that interviewed the family of the real Rambo and they did not appreciate Stalone staining the memory of their son killed in Viet nam. The storey of Stalone going to Europe and coaching a girls volleyball team has been know for years but i cannot cite a reference for this information. You remember the Sheriff on the first Rambo movie played by Brian Dennehy? he had been telling people he was a Viet Nam vet and come to find out he had never been to Nam. I liked him as an actor and as matter of fact I even liked the first Rambo movie but I knew he was lie.

There are no truthful answers to this question and Rambo lovers are in denial. Incidently you folks do know he was a fictional character?

He's an actor!

They pay him to "act" or pretend, without a conscience.

I have a lot of admiration and respect for Sylvester Stallone and until I speak with him personally, your vague statements will never influence my feelings.
However if you are going to post statements trying to discredit a man's good name, you should really list a source.
