American culture is awesome! One way to go about this is to look at how many cultures have modeled parts of their culture after ours.
Our form of government has served as an example to many different nations.
Our philanthropy (it should be pretty easy to find American charitable organizations and the amount of money that Americans give)
Our educational system - though bashed a lot - is something that people come from all over the world to get. Think of how many foreign students come here to get knowledge then come go back to their homelands using knowledge they got from here. One example that immediately comes to mind is Ellen Johnson Shirleaf - president of Liberia who went to Harvard (I think she got an MBA) - but there are many, many others.

There are just a very few of the gifts that America has given to the world. While America has its share of problems, and I have criticisms, I still believe it is the greatest country because it is mine.

I would say that American culture, like any culture has pro's and cons. But it is culture none the less. I would say that Diversity is a good part of the culture...that American culture is founded on the principles that it consists of many immigrants. If you are not native american than your ancestors migrated here and at that American culture is filled with lots of different cultures. If you want mexican food you can go and find it in almost anytown. Chinese food is right down the street. If you are craving some Native American heritage you are free to find it. If you are in the mood for some country western line dancing you can find that too!

Two words: Louis Armstrong.
More words: Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, Oscar Hammerstein II, Richard Rodgers, Little Richard, Elvis Prestley, The Beach Boys ... to goes on and on, really
One may "diss" the USA for many things but one thing has remained consistent - the world has been positively influenced by the music that came out of the U S of A.
But remember, much of America's great music came as a result of the adversity within it.

There's no real way to tell what's "American" per se...most of the people who brought modern civilization and technology to the Americas came from Europe. It also depends on which America you mean. There's a North, Central, and South America. If you mean the United States, then I'm still not sure... But if I were to list SOME things that were American in my opinion: Walt Disney-related stuff Basketball (Not sure about baseball...I think it might be related to cricket in some way...) (I think "American Football" is related to rugby, too) McDonalds White Castle The Delorean from Back to the Future Other than that...I got nothing.

it is one of the few places in the world where all cultures and all ethniticities of all backgrounds can and do share an existance in close quarters. there are asians and blacks and whites all living on the same streets (in some places)... and although this has caused some civil rights issues along the way, i think it is sort of a role model for the rest of the world... that maybe one day we really can all live in harmony together despite our differences.... u could also mention that we have free speech, the freedom of religion and the practice of that religion.... the hope of living "the American dream" is still a big theme for many people who strive to live in America (immigrants who come to better themselves and their family). This country was founded on things like freedom, patriotism, and the chance to succeed. etc etc etc

There's an idea called American exceptionalism. In history, American have rejected the complacency with the normal. We have gone beyond the call of duty and tried to achieve amazing feats. This is what makes America great, but sometimes we need a reality check of the limitations of our own abilities, like the American defeat during the Vietnam War.
Basically, it's all about the "American dream" and sacrificing everything to get what you want.

Everyone hates the U.S. But, we have exploded capitalism unto the world. The Soviets failed with communism, dictators fall, so I would say democracy is our key. Because of our fredoms of religion, speech, etc., everyone has a say in America. You don't have to like what someone says, but it has to be repsected. So, that makes our culture more bold than other countries because we know that we won't be rounded up and shot if we speak against our govt.

Nothing is good about american culture. the average american is fat, stupid and greedy. You are all infidels.
You also force your culture upon other nations and are very ignorant about cultures of other nations.
Also, American culture promotes individualism, it is all about working hard to get what you want. Americans only care about themselves. Look at the difference between rich and poor in America - there is no American dream.
