I am in the process of remodeling my kitchen...first of all I have taken out all the old cabinets..I have some new cabinets and will need to get some more cabinets but cannot decide what I really need or want for the corner where my pantry used to be...Question is should I put my refrigerator next to a cabinet and then what should I put next to refrigerator...? also then I have about eight feet of wall what will it look like...presently I have my refrigerator on eight foot wall...not sure what it will look like...not sure if I will like it next to cabinet near stove.
I have all white cabinets I want to purchase a dark blue counter top..but what type of or color of floor should I get? I am so lost on this....please any advice or suggestions would greatly be appreciated...thank you in advance for your assistance....

ive done a couple of kitchens and everytime the designers couldnt stress to me enough that to have a comfortable efficient kitchen the sink, fridge and the stove need to be in a triangle ever since i heard this i have always paid attention to kitchens and how they are designed, it is so true.

Go to a local kitchen store in your town. they have probably done many kitchens in homes such as yours and will have lots of useful info as to what works and what doesn't for your particular project. they will also have samples of everything so you can mix and match colors to find what you like. dealing with a locally owned store is your best bet. they will go out of their way to make sure everything is right because they want the word of mouth business. i deal with home depot on a daily basis and while their prices are good their employees are incompetent and clueless, i wouldn't trust most of them to change a light bulb much less design my kitchen. last but not least and you probably figured it out already, never start a project of this caliber with out a plan. when remodeling a kitchen not only do you have cabinets, counter tops, and flooring to worry about but electrical, plumbing and lighting aswell. good luck.

Draw a floor plan of your kitchen, showing all doors and windows, sink and stove and talke it to Home Depot or Lowes or any kitchen showroom. They have people on staff who are trained to lay out efficient, comfortable designs.

This is the easiest program of this type that I have found.

I sometimes use this to get rough ideas.
The above answers are correct about Home Depot or Lowe's. Their staff usually know what they are talking about.

repobud1 - Bummer the Home Depot guys are incompetent where you live, they are pretty good where I live.
